Dharmena DowneyDear Friends and Members of Fenway CDC:

We are pleased to announce that Fenway CDC has hired the fourth executive director in our history. Dharmena Downey comes to the Fenway with many years of experience in community development and public service. Her first official day of work with us will be February 22nd.

In the last few years, Dharmena has been Interim Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer at Asian CDC. She has served on the board and most recently as Board Chair at Neighborhood of Affordable Housing in East Boston. Dharmena’s previous positions include Director of Housing for the City of Somerville and Executive Director of the Marblehead Arts Association.

We are looking forward to having Dharmena bring her energy, enthusiasm, and expertise to the Fenway. We’d like to give her some time to settle in, but we plan to arrange for you to meet her-and welcome her to the neighborhood-as soon as we can. We’ll keep you posted about those opportunities.

Thanks for all of your support through our leadership transition. We look forward to seeing you at our Annual Meeting in the spring.

Sincerely,

Joanne McKenna, President
