Fenway News Online

We’re committed to always giving you a fair deal: we only profit when you profit. To prove that, we’ve come up with an advertising formula that will help you make the most informed decision possible.

Here are the steps to figure out the cost of an ad:

1. Multiply the “Base Price” by the number of “Daily Visitors” our research staff has projected for the current month
2. Multiply that result by the point value assigned to an “Ad Type” of your choosing
3. Multiply that result by one or more “Ad Placements” of your choosing
4. Multiply that by the number of days you would like to run the ad (14 day minimum)

And you have the result. For example, a “Banner Ad (2 points)” run alongside every article on the site (the “Articles” placement option; 1.5 points) to 33.28 visitors every day for 14 days (minimum), would cost $13.98 and reach 465 people. That’s only three cents per person—significantly less than making a b&w photo copy of your ad at the library (typically five to ten cents).
