(MAY 2010) — On May 26, 2010 The Liberty Hotel, in conjunction with Berklee College of Music will present a Night of Music featuring bands from the Heavy Rotation record label, (performing electronic, Americana and rock music). 100% of the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the Berklee College of Music Annual Scholarship Fund.
The event will take place from 6PM – 10PM in The Liberty Hotel Ballroom, 215 Charles Street, Boston, MA 02116
The evening will feature loop master Julia Easterlin, who has performed with The Neville Brothers, Coolio, and Ravi Coltrane. Easterlin will showcase her award winning songwriting and vocal style which has made her one of the most intriguing up and coming artists in the country
Additionally local favorites Nini+Ben, having just wrapped up a 5 show run at the famed SXSW festival and an in studio performance on Boston’s WERS radio, share their beautiful songs and masterful musicianship as part of their spring tour in support of their album “The Reasons We Try”
Pop-rock band Black Kettle who has been nominated as one of the top five bands to look out for this year by the Boston Phoenix will also perform their acclaimed new record release.

ABOUT HEAVY ROTATION RECORDS
Heavy Rotation Records (HRR) gives music business/management majors at Berklee hands-on experience in running a record company. The students oversee all of the label’s functions, including A&R, marketing, sales, touring, web development, media, and accounting. HRR has released 12 CDs since 1995, including Shekinah: 13 Artists, distributed by Epic; Apollo Sunshine’s second CD, co-released with spinART; and Dorm Sessions 1–7. Many up-and-coming artists have appeared on HRR compilations, including St. Vincent (as Annie Clark); members of Passion Pit (as The Peasantry); the Click Five (as Oscar Bravo); Big D & the Kids Table; and Madi Diaz of the movie Rock School. The label also serves as a springboard for careers in the music industry. HRR alumni have gone on to work at companies including Interscope, Capitol, DreamWorks, BMG, Universal, Live Nation, AEG Live, and Righsflow.
